Proclamati i vincitori dell’entrepreneurial challenge organizzata dal Consolato Generale Britannico di Milano, UKTI e Intesa Sanpaolo. La finale della quarta edizione di UK-Italy Springboard si è svolta il 19 novembre a Milano in Piazza Belgioioso 1, presso la sede del gruppo bancario Intesa Sanpaolo.

L’entrepreneurial challenge rivolta a start-up italiane innovative, ha destato l’interesse di quasi 60 aziende e imprenditori operanti nei settori ICT, healthcare, aerospazio, energia e nanotecnologie. Ben 20 sono state selezionate dal Team per gli Investimenti del Consolato Generale Britannico di Milano, per una training session lo scorso ottobre con i business mentor David Bream e il Prof. Dean Patton.

L’ultima tappa dell’evento, organizzato da Consolato Generale Britannico di Milano, UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) e Intesa Sanpaolo Start-Up Initiative, ha visto le 11 aziende finaliste presentare i propri programmi nel corso del pitch a una giuria specializzata, costituita da rappresentanti d’incubatori, università, studi legali e società private.

I vincitori:

Qurami e TitaC, che ottengono il primo e secondo premio, saranno ospitati rispettivamente per un periodo di sei mesi e di un mese presso uno degli incubatori di SETSquared Partnership nel Regno Unito. Avranno accesso a servizi di mentoring e usufruiranno di due sessioni di training con lo studio legale Gregory Rowcliffe Milners di Londra. Parteciperanno ad almeno uno dei roadshow internazionali di Intesa Sanpaolo Start-up Initiative per il loro ambito tecnologico.

S4A-Scandium for Aerospace, si è aggiudicata il GR8 Technologies Prize, sponsorizzato dalla Science and Innovation Network del governo del Regno Unito. Il premio prende il nome dalle Eight Great Technologies, identificate come di cruciale importanza economica dal governo britannico. L’azienda avrà l’opportunità esclusiva di essere inserita nei network tecnologici del Regno Unito, accedere a particolari schemi di finanziamento ed entrare in contatto con potenziali partner attraverso un programma personalizzato di visite ed incontri.

Il premio speciale Tech City, è andato a due start-up, Alleantia e Resolvo, che saranno ospitate una settimana in co-working presso Tech City, l’area a est di Londra conosciuta come la capitale digitale d’Europa.

Aerospace ha vinto lo Special Aerospace Prize, sponsorizzato dallo Science & Technology Facility Council (STFC). Il premio prevede quattro settimane di accesso gratuito all’STFC Innovations Technology Access Centre, nel cuore dell’Harwell Oxford Campus.

The 4th edition of UK-Italy Springboard The presentations by eleven Italian start-ups The names of the winners of the entrepreneurial challenge organised by the British Consulate-General Milan, UKTI and Intesa Sanpaolo The final of the fourth edition of UK-Italy Springboard took place on November 19th in Milan in Piazza Belgioioso 1, in the seat of the Italian banking group Intesa Sanpaolo.

The entrepreneurial challenge dedicated to innovative Italian start-ups attracted the interest of almost sixty Italian companies and entrepreneurs in the sectors of ICT, healthcare, aerospace, energy and nanotechnology. Out of this strong pool, twenty start-ups were selected by the Investment Team of the British Consulate-General in Milan for a training session with British business mentors David Bream and Prof. Dean Patton last October. The last stage of the event, organised by the British Consulate-General in Milan, UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) and Intesa Sanpaolo Start-Up Initiative, featured presentations by eleven start-ups.

They pitched their innovative entrepreneurial ideas to a specialist jury including representatives of business incubators, universities, law firms and private sector companies. The winners were selected and announced on the day. The first prize went to Qurami, the second prize to TitaC. Both firms will be hosted by one of the SETSquared Partnership’s UK incubators for periods of six months and one month respectively. During this time they will have access to mentoring services as well as two training sessions with London law firm Gregory Rowcliffe Milners. They also have the possibility to take part in at least one of the Intesa Sanpaolo Start-up Initiative International Roadshows for the relevant technology. S4A-Scandium for Aerospace was awarded the GR8 Technologies Prize which was sponsored by the UK Government Science and Innovation Network.

This prize is themed after the Eight Great Technologies that have been identified by the British government as crucial to UK growth. The company will now have a unique opportunity to be introduced to UK technology networks, funding schemes and potential partners through a personalised programme of visits and meetings. The Special Tech City Prize was won by 2 start-ups: Alleantia and Resolvo. It includes one week stay at a co-working space in Tech City, London, Europe’s digital capital. Sia Aerospace was awarded the Special Aerospace Prize which was sponsored by the Science & Technology Facility Council (STFC).

This prize includes four weeks of free access to the STFC Innovations Technology Access Centre in the heart of the Harwell Oxford Campus.
